Simply put, you`re deleting the downloaded map pack folder and moving its contents directly into the" Maps" folder in your roaming folder. So if you simply move all the separate map folders from your map pack folder and directly into the "Maps" folder in the "My The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king Files" or "My Battle for Middle-earth II Files", depending on which version of the game you're running, the map transfer will finally work! My friend and I both did this with similar maps and a map transfer wasn`t even necessary, as it should be when both parties have the same map. When you downloaded the map pack, I`ll bet all your maps are in separate folders inside of the downloaded map pack folder.
The game is for some reason not able to locate the maps in your roaming folder when they`re in a folder in another folder. Hi there, this may be two years too late but I wanted to let you know that I have been having the exact same issue as you have been having and yesterday after more than 4 years of game crashes and frustration I finally figured out the problem.
